PDJ is a restaurant we at TaPay love visiting. PDJ has hosted some of our company lunches, and we always look forward to a meal here. The initials – PDJ – actually stand for “Plat du Jour” which is French for “Dish of the Day”, and the restaurant stays true to its name by offering a unique menu which changes daily. The location of the restaurant (at Kanvas Cyberjaya) is really convenient for me and it’s great for variety and healthy food options as well which makes it a real winner for me. The restaurant has a European canteen style concept in the afternoon, with daily changing menus, and an a la carte dinner menu.
Some of the offerings on the standard menu at PDJ
The lunch menu comes with a choice of one main course and 2 sides
I often come to PDJ for coffee and I quite enjoy making my own with this neat little coffee machine. It makes a great Americano!
Another thing I love about PDJ is that they always decorate during the festive seasons! Their Halloween decorations were so cute. Perfect for parties or even just to take some nice Instagram photos!
I loved the Christmas decorations at PDJ as well. I was told by the owner Kat that the beautiful decorations at PDJ are all done by his very talented wife with whom he runs PDJ with.
Don’t worry the spiderwebs on the coffee machine were part of the Halloween decorations!
Ice-cream is always a good options for dessert!
The European style canteen concept at PDJ means that everything is self-service here during lunch time.
They have an open kitchen where you can see your meal being cooked and prepared right before you.
PDJ’s tea station with a selection of teas.
PDJ has a corner lot on the row of shop lots at Kanvas, right next to Quick Grab.
There is ample seating outside the restaurant as well as al fresco dining is an option here at PDJ
Scrumptious poached eggs
On one of my visits I had a fantastic lamb chop with stir- fried vegetables and wedges as my sides. The meat was cooked exactly to my liking and the wedges were nice and crispy. I love how I can choose from both Asian and Western cuisine here. There really are no boundaries when it comes to food at PDJ. I’ve even seen Chicken Adobo on the menu which is not commonly found in restaurants in Malaysia!
Did I also mentioned how good the cakes are?
The Strawberry Shortcake at PDJ is yum!
Not taking a picture with the adorable décor would be a crime I am not willing to commit!
You’ll be happy to know that you can pay with TaPay at PDJ!
I really love PDJ because of the fresh concept, and the idea of always having something new to discover on the menu. Prices are also very affordable here especially considering the quality of the food as well as the portions that you get. All menu items are below RM 20 except for the grilled meats which is understandable. I was also told that they could customise a special menu for their restaurant guests by request and have it catered to various budgets.
