With Deepavali around the corner, the hunt for a traditional Indian outfit has begun. I don’t own a Sari or a Punjabi suit but I told myself that this year, I was going to get a set for my Deepavali open house visits. I was told Masjid India was the place to go if you’re shopping for a traditional Indian outfit, but where exactly? Anyone who’s been to Masjid India will know that boutiques are a dime a dozen. It’s street after street of boutiques seemingly offering the same things. So how does one know exactly where to go for good designs and value for money? Well, I took a recommendation from my Grab driver on my way there and was directed to Monica’s Collections.

Monica’s Collections boutique is very easy to spot, it is on the row of shops adjacent to Semua House Mall.

The boutique manager Mr Jaafar and the staff at Monica’s Collections were very warm and friendly without being pushy.

The children’s dresses are really beautiful at Monica’s and the prices are reasonable as well given the details on the outfits.

The kid’s section is also located upstairs with plenty of choices for boys and girls of various ages.

I spotted some beautiful Lehengas and evening dresses on the upper floor.

Besides Saris, Monica’s Collections carries beautiful Punjabi Suits and Lehengas as well.

Fabrics in all colours and designs.

There are many ready to wear pieces available at Monica’s Collections but they also have a wide selection of fabrics if you are looking to custom make an outfit.

The ground floor is for women’s clothing as well as accessories.
